MWCT’s busiest village of Iltilal is using its ultramodern library to its fullest effect. What is so special about this library is that is was specially created with and for the community.
The interactive Smart Board and the internet connected computer provide the community with connection to the world. While the books, in both English and Kiswahili focus on local issues including anti-poaching, environmentalism, and health and hygiene.
The library also provides the community with a bright, quite place for studies. It is bustling every day!
Special thanks to the KEY (Knowledge Empowering Youth) program of the Charles and Rita Field-Marsham Foundation for making this extraordinary library possible for us.
